Fried Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken

Harissa Sauce

  • 2 Roasted Red Peppers
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cups Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 Jalapeno
  • 6 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 bunch Cilantro
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

Chicken

  • Marinate chicken thigh in buttermilk, garlic powder, and rosemary, overnight if possible
  • Combine 3 parts Drakes batter mix with 1 part cornstarch
  • Dredge chicken in batter and double dip
  • Fry chicken in oil until 165 degrees and golden brown

Harissa Sauce

  • Combine all ingredients and puree until smooth

Serving Instructions

  • Toast Challah bun and then place 2 tbsp of of Harissa sauce on bun with fried chicken
  • Top with iceberg lettuce and slice of tomato
  • Serve with side of mixed greens
  • Enjoy!
