Fried Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 chicken
Harissa Sauce
- 2 Roasted Red Peppers
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 2 cups Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 Jalapeno
- 6 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1/2 bunch Cilantro
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
Chicken
- Marinate chicken thigh in buttermilk, garlic powder, and rosemary, overnight if possible
- Combine 3 parts Drakes batter mix with 1 part cornstarch
- Dredge chicken in batter and double dip
- Fry chicken in oil until 165 degrees and golden brown
Harissa Sauce
- Combine all ingredients and puree until smooth
Serving Instructions
- Toast Challah bun and then place 2 tbsp of of Harissa sauce on bun with fried chicken
- Top with iceberg lettuce and slice of tomato
- Serve with side of mixed greens
